Don’t like the bitter after taste of Stevia? You don’t have to put up with it any longer!
I have spoken much about stevia and you can see some of my recipes that use stevia here and here. The main complaint I hear when I suggest to use stevia as a sugar replacement is “but stevia has a bitter after taste!” I’ve learnt to live with it, but I know it does put a lot of people off from using it.
I’m pleased to tell you I have found a product that is fructose free, artificial sweetener free, tastes like sugar AND there is no bitter after taste! How great is that! The trick is Natvia uses the freshest tips of stevia plant and then blends it with eyrthritol – don’t worry eythritol it is a naturally occurring nectar and is fructose free!
So there you have it, no more excuses for eating sugar!
With Natvia you really can pretend you are eating sugar – Well, that’s if you want to! One spoonful of Natvia equals 1 spoonful of sugar – so no more guess work like with other brands of stevia. Plus one teaspoon has .6 calories and you know how many calories sugar has? 16!
And just to inspire you here are some pretty photos and a recipe
A variation of Superfood Chocolate Crackles I made last week, only this time I used Natvia.
What you need
2 handfuls of shredded coconut
2 heaped tablespoons of cacao
4 tablespoons of sesame seeds
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
Optional – 2 teaspoons of peanut butter
2 sachets of Natvia
Steps
Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl
Add in coconut oil
Cover a tray with grease proof paper and dollop mixture in small blobs – should make approximately 12
Leave to set in the fridge for one hour
Much love,
