I know I don’t normally post restaurant reviews on Mondays – but this restaurant was so good that I couldn’t wait…It’s being added to My Top 5 Vegan-Friendly Restaurants in Sydney.
In case you can’t see due to the small sign and my not so great photography, I went to Yulli’s on Saturday night for dinner. Like I said on Friday this was my first time dining at Yulli’s, which is crazy considering how popular it is. “Haven’t you lived in Sydney for 6 years?” “Aren’t you vegan?” and “Don’t you write about vegan and vegetarian food?!” are just some of the disgusted responses I received when I shared this little secret… It makes me think there must be other vegan gems I’m missing out on!
Yulli’s is a vegetarian restaurant however many of their dishes are vegan or can be made vegan. As you can see from above they have a SEPARATE vegan menu which is a whole page long! It also includes vegan beers and wines…
Chantelle and I ordered the Vietnamese Crepe. It was so fresh and completely different from dishes I normally order. It was FULL of veggies.
Ursula ordered the Eggplant Involtini which is a vegetarian dish – she said it was delicious! We decided to skip dessert because it was already pretty late by the time we finished but they looked up- amazing! I’m keen to try The Sticky Date and Pecan Pudding next time.
The night went on to include a walk down Oxford St, playing Jenga at Name this Bar and some other pretty entertaining events which I’m afraid I’m going to have to keep to myself 😉 I hope you had a fun weekend!
