AntiGravity Yoga + Other Weekend Bits and Pieces

The weekend came and went really quickly, but not without catching up and meeting with some really cool people. I went to an AntiGravity Yoga class for the first time which was nothing short of awesome! It’s yoga, crossed with gymnastics with a hammock thrown in for good luck. It’s surprisingly easy and very calming, I mean who doesn’t like the feeling of laying in a hammock!

In terms of a work out it can’t be compared to regular yoga (although i’m sure the advanced moves would be more challenging) it’s more for improving posture (you grow an inch after a Anti Gravity Yoga class!) and flexibility. Anti Gravity Yoga also enables you to stay in an upside down asanas (poses) for a longer period of time with the help of the hammock..

Once I got over the initial pressure and tingling in my head from being upside down, I really enjoyed the sensation…My face felt amazing afterwards, all the blood rushed to my head and plumped up my cheeks making my skin look very glowy! I really need to get into these upside down asanas!

**Update** We are in a promotional video for the House of Yoga… actually it’s mainly Ursula and my hand :) If you would like to get a better idea of what AntiGravity Yoga is all about you can watch it here.

I dropped by the The Australian Fitness & Health Expo and I will admit I was surprisingly impressed! I didn’t know what to expect as it’s definitely geared more towards people working in the fitness industry but I got to meet some really cool business including Bounce Foods, Cleaning Eating Mazagine and Step into Life.

Finally I met up with the ladies from the Natvia marketing team to discuss a few up and coming projects… and pose for a photo! Exciting times!

Did you have a good weekend? What did you do? Have you heard of AntiGravity Yoga? Did you go to the Australian Fitness & Health Expo?
