As the credits for Hungry For Change rolled down the screen, I loudly exclaimed That’s it we’re getting a juicer! Only to be shut down and told there is no room for the said juicer and it will have to wait until we moved. Humph. So when I was invited to breakfast with the king of juicing, Jason Vale for the launch of the Philips QuickClean Juicer I could hardly say no. Freshly squeezed juice plus afterwards I might be able to convince my husband-to-be that we really do NEED a juicer – seemed like a win win to me!
Jason juiced up a storm of beetroot, carrot, spinach, cucumber and apple..I wasn’t convinced it would taste anything close to drinkable but the apple made it sweet and taste really delicious. I drank 4 vegetables in less than 3minutes.. how long would it take me to eat that many vegetables? Much longer and realistically I’m got going to eat a whole beetroot everyday.
The word “juicer” for many people goes hand in hand with “difficult clean” shortly followed by “expensive” and “bulky”. However you will be pleased to hear this is no longer the case. Just as computers, phones and other house hold appliances have progressed so have juicers! They are no longer crazy expensive, fill up three cupboards and take longer to clean than actually use. Well isn’t that a relief! The Philips QuickClean Juicer is sleek and sexy, can be cleaned within a minute and at two affordable price points you don’t need to mortgage your house to buy one.
Philips is kindly giving me QuickClean juicer so I can experience first hand what it’s all about. I’ll be able to tell you if it lives up to the hype AND if it can be cleaned in 1 minute – Big cliam! I’m excited to get jucing, I’ve got a feeling this is going to be the start of something special!
Questions: What are you doing this weekend? Do you have a juicer? What’s your favourite combination?
I’m meeting with Nadine for lunch tomorrow and filming our first Live Healthy Simply cooking segment with Ursula – It’s going to be a fun weekend! xx
