An Update: My QuickClean Juicer

It’s been a while since I started juicing and I thought now would be a good of a time as ever, to reflect on how I have found the experience so far….

To be honest while I was excited to use my Philips QuickClean Juicer for the first time, I had some doubts about how often I would use it. I thought it may be a passing phase or something we did on the weekends when people came over – Look homemade juice!!! Even though my juicer is in fact called the “QuickClean Juicer” I didn’t believe it would be quick to clean nor did I particularly want anything else to clean, quick or otherwise! So while I gratefully accepted the juicer I would be lying if I said I thought it was going to become an integral part of my life. Maybe I would more of a part time or casual juicer? Yes, that sounds better.

How wrong was I! Juicing is now a daily affair and one I sorely miss if it’s skipped. I like to juice in between meals, I find it fills me up just enough (but not too much!) before my next main meal. I lean more towards vegetable juicers but every now and then I do include some fruit for a bit of a treat.I’ve been making a few green juices lately and enjoying immensely, they keep me hydrated and I can feel they are doing wonders  - don’t you love that?!

And the cleaning? It’s really not so bad. All the parts are big and can go in the dishwasher and it’s easy to assemble and disassemble. The thought of the cleaning is far worse than the actual cleaning!

Juicing Combinations

Beetroot, lemon and carrot juice.

Pineapple, kale, carrot juice.

Beetroot, carrot, cucumber and swiss chard (silver beet) juice.

Where are the photos of the green juices? I don’t find them nearly as pretty as beetroot juices (shallow I know!) which would be why I don’t have any photos of them! I’ll take a photo next time to prove I do drink them!

Questions: Is there anything else you would like to know about juicing or this particluar juicer? Perhaps a video of me taking it a part so you can see how long it takes to clean?

Read my chat with Juice Master Jason Vale, my first review of the Philips QuickClean Juicer and watch me make a juice on this video. Now go get juicing!
