To follow on from Monday’s Top 5 Foods for Healthy Skin I thought it would be cool to post my Top 5 Natural Beauty Brands that I have discovered lately. I love finding brands that are good for you, the animals and the environment too, so without further ado here are my top 5 favourite brands at the moment.
Antipodes
Antipodes uses 100% natural and certified organic ingredients. I’ve been using their Facial Cream, Manuka Honey Mask, Intense Hydrating Serum and Organic Avocado Oil and Rosehip oil this week and I’m loving it! The Avocado Oil and Rosehip oil has been scientifically proven to stimulate type 1 collagen in human skin cells by up to 51%, so needless to say I’ve been slathering it on my face to keep the premature ageing fairies away! Antipodes products are approved by the Vegetarian Society and are not tested on animals.
Arbonne Cosmetics
Arbonne Cosmetics are made from botanically based ingredients which are formulated without parabens, talc, phthalates. The range is also vegan, hypoallergenic and environmentally conscious too! 90% of their personal care product packaging is recyclable and 80% of the brand’s printed materials uses soy-based inks. I’ve recently starting using Arbonne’s Natural Radiance Mineral Powder Foundation and I am proud to say I have finally found a natural foundation that actually provides great coverage!
I can’t get enough of Dr. Bronner’s castile soap! If you are travelling and you forget your toiletries pick up a bottle of Dr Bronner’s castile soap and it will double as a facial cleanser, soap, body wash, toothpaste and shampoo! Uh-mazing! The company was established in 1948 by Emanuel Bronner and is now managed by the 4th and 5th generations of the Bronner family. All of the product range are organic, fair trade and vegan and they have just launched a range of personal care and soap bars.
Sacred Self
I love wearing perfume, but I don’t love wearing thousand of chemicals, which is why perfume and I haven’t been getting along vey well lately! Fortunately for me, Michelle form Sacred Self gave me a bottle of her gorgeous Joy Alchemical Oil to use as a replacement to perfume. The scent includes jojoba oil, roman chamomile, lemongrass, ylang ylang & lime plus lots of love and positive energy! You can use the oil in aromatherapy, cosmetics or perfume and each oil comes with a affirmation. Mine is, I radiate Joy.
Scented Holistic Skin Care uses organic, natural and wild harvested ingredients full of active ingredients, vitamins and nutrients. Their products are ethically produced without harmful chemicals or fragrances. Like the name suggests, the scrub smells divine and is exactly what I needed to revive my winter skin! The Scented Holistic Skincare range includes, masks, cleansers, moistures, hand creams and serums.
