A guest post by Toby Morrison – Health & Fitness Coach
I was talking to a lady just yesterday and she was all fired up and ranting about how sick and tired she was of people complaining, bad mouthing, being the victim of their own shitty situation.
We, us, me, YOU are in control of your own situation and circumstances to some degree.
You are in control to some extent of what you do, who you see, what you eat and drink, when you sleep, when you do or do not exercise, where you work, where you live, what you read and don’t read, what you listen to or don’t listen to… The list goes on.
So why is it that one day we wake up and be somewhere we don’t want to be, see someone we don’t really want to see, eat shit, talk shit, work where we don’t want to work etc. We then start the blame game… “life is unfair, why me, life sucks or even blame our problems onto someone else.” Self pity talk and being the victim of your own situation does not help you or the world in anyway.
“Everyone goes through shit, it’s how you get out of it that’s important.”
Life is not easy, but we get to choose whether we make it harder or easier for ourselves by actions and choices we put in place each and every day. We are actually pretty lucky, if we choose to be.
- If you hate what you do – change it and do something DIFFERENT.
- If you are sick and tired of being stuck in negative relationships that only drag you down– then stop being in them. Start surrounding yourself with positive people who will only make you feel good.
- If you want to feel better and look better. Start exercising and eating better.
We are really good at creating problems for ourselves and not so good at finding solutions. Stop looking at the problems and start finding the solutions… I know you can do it!
How have you remove yourself from a negative environment? Have you change an unproductive or an unhealthy habit and been rewarded with a positive outcome? Let me us know in the comments below! And you know that friend who is always complaining about their problems, you need to share this article with them -pronto!
